Last week at Commonwealth Golf Club was one of those moments.
Last week at Commonwealth Golf Club was one of those moments where you stop, look around… and really take it all in.
To be able to partner with one of Australia’s most exclusive clubs on the Melbourne Sandbelt and create a space that felt so inclusive, welcoming and diverse was something I’m incredibly proud of.
We had everything in one afternoon:
👶 Mums with their bubs
🏌️♀️ Women picking up a club for the very first time
⛳ Low handicappers playing a championship course
🌏 Multicultural partnerships coming to life
🏃♀️ Elite athletes stepping into golf
👧 Kids being introduced to the game
And all of it felt natural. No barriers. No hesitation. Just women showing up, connecting and being part of something.
At one point, I stood back and watched the course, the range, the Clubhouse… and realised what a privilege it is to lead this community.
With the support of our incredible Ambassador team, we’ve created something that didn’t exist when we founded the Australian Women's Golf Network 5 years ago.
Back then, we were opening doors for executive women who had never played before. Now, those doors are wider - and more people are walking through them than ever before.
The shift in golf has been enormous.
And we’re so grateful to the men and women across the industry who are helping create that change with us.
This is just the beginning 💚
Jess
