Exciting news, AWGN community!
Today, we're celebrating a major milestone for our parent company, Bison United. For 21 years, Bison United has been thriving in the construction industry and contributing to the success of businesses across multiple sectors.
What you may not know is that the Australian Women's Golf Network was born out of Bison United's commitment to empowering women in the construction industry. Our co-founder Jessica Eden, an advocate for women in construction, recognised the need for more inclusive golf events. In response, she initiated a program that allowed women to learn and enjoy the game while networking.
Fast-forward to International Women's Day 2021, when Bison United invited 20 women in construction to hone their golf skills under the guidance of Australian golf legend Lisa Jean. The overwhelming success of this event gave birth to AWGN – a platform dedicated to connecting and supporting women through golf and networking. 🌟
Today, AWGN has grown into a national organisation with 7 remarkable Ambassadors and a presence in all states across Australia and even Japan! We are incredibly proud to have hosted 90+ women's golf and networking events this year, each one filled with friendship, professional growth, and fun.
All of the stunning photography, videos, and media that have captured these moments are produced in-house at Bison United under the creative direction of our Co-Founder Oliver Sperlich.
As we celebrate Bison United's 21st anniversary and look forward to the bright future ahead for both Bison United and AWGN, we want to thank every one of you for being a part of this incredible journey. Your continued support means the world to us, and we are excited to see what the future holds for our expanding community in 2025 and beyond.
Let's raise our golf clubs and toast to Bison United and AWGN!
Cheers to many more years of empowerment, connection, and success! 🥂
